Examine the Verse
Acts 2:22
This verse is claimed to provide the basis of the Iglesia ni Cristo belief
that
Jesus is not an ordinary man but a very special Man,
who was sanctified; made Lord, Christ, Savior, Mediator and Judge by God.

"People of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus from Nazareth was a very special Man. God clearly showed this to you by the miracles, wonders, and signs he did through Jesus. You all know this, because it happened right here among you.
(Acts 2:22,  New Century Version)

“My fellow Israelites, listen to these words: Jesus from Nazareth was a very special Man. God clearly showed this to you. He proved it by the miracles, wonders, and miraculous signs he did through Jesus. You all saw these things, so you know this is true.

(Acts 2:22,  Easy to Read Version)

Iglesia ni Cristo belief in God and Jesus Christ:
Iglesia ni Cristo believes in the absolute oneness of God, that "the Only True God is the Father" in heaven; The Father is the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of all things. God is Spirit, eternal, immortal and invisible; He is the God and Father of Jesus Christ and His Apostles; and that of Moses,
Abraham and the ancient Israelites.
Iglesia ni Cristo believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. As the Son of God,
Jesus is a Man.  However, Jesus is not an ordinary man but a "very special Man",
who was sanctified; made Lord, Christ, Savior, Mediator and Judge by God.

Apostle's admonition, warning and unique way of teaching:
 1. No prophecy of scripture is a matter of personal interpretation (2 Pt. 1:20, NAB)
2. Do not go beyond what is written. (1 Cor. 4:6, NIV)
3. We do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit,
using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths. (1 Cor. 2:13, NLT)

  Points to Consider:
  1.  The above verse clearly says that "Jesus from Nazareth was a very special Man."
2.  Why is Jesus a very special Man? The verse also clearly says, that "God clearly showed this to you by the miracles, wonders, and signs he did through Jesus."  Thus Jesus is a very special Man
―not God, for He is distinct or a separate being from God who did the miracles, wonder and signs through Him.
3.  Please note carefully that more importantly God made these things to Jesus: sanctified Jesus or made holy (John 10:36); made Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36); made Savior (Acts 13:23);  Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5); Judge (Acts 17:31).
3. THEREFORE, the Lord Jesus is not an ordinary man but a very special Man.

Acts 2:22 in other versions of the Bible:

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:   (King James Version)

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—   (New King James Version)

Listen to these words, fellow Israelites! Jesus of Nazareth was a man whose divine authority was clearly proven to you by all the miracles and wonders which God performed through him. You yourselves know this, for it happened here among you.   (Good News Translation)

You may use other version or translation of the Holy Bible.
